Copyright and Licensing Policy

The Iraqi Journal of Microbiology and Biomedical Science (IJMBS) is committed to open-access publishing. We believe that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

1. Licensing Terms

All articles published in IJMBS are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

Under this license, anyone is free to:

  • Share: Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.

  • Adapt: Remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.

Provided that: Proper attribution and credit must be given to the original authors and the source of publication (IJMBS), and a link to the license must be provided.

2. Copyright Ownership

  • Authors Retain Copyright: Authors who publish in IJMBS retain the full, unrestricted copyright and publishing rights to their work without any limitations.

  • Licensing Agreement: Authors grant the Iraqi Society for Microbiology a non-exclusive license to publish and identify itself as the original publisher of the article.

  • Self-Archiving: Authors are fully permitted and encouraged to deposit all versions of their published papers (Preprint, Accepted Manuscript, or Published Version) in institutional repositories, personal websites, or any other subject-based repositories at any time after publication.
